Crashes, injuries left in wake of Pr. George's-Baltimore chase Washington Post
The track caused police to close a mile-long stretch of the outer loop of the Capital Beltway between routes 50 and 202 for practically three hours.
The troopers, Michael O'Brien and Alphrin Norman, were treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and released Saturday vespers all the time. The injured motorist, Ellen Sistare of Mitchellville, was also released after hospital treatment, the state police said.
The theorize, identified as Christopher E. Murphy, 30, of Horsham, Pa. was charged Saturday night with attempted murder, hit and traffic offenses, the state police said.

The Old Bill said the pursuit began around 10:40 a.m., when motorists reported a car on the Beltway Inner Loop switching lanes unsafely and heartthrob on the shoulder.
At the Route 201 exit, a trooper found the Mustang tailgating a Prince George's sheriff's cruiser and flashing its headlights, the cops said. When the cruiser did not move out of his way, the driver swerved around it, police said.
