Ok so I miss to do something with business, I have been looking into Healthcare Administration, Business Management and etc. I have no idea what I want to do or what the jobs consist of with different business degrees. I am starting principled now at a community college and am having a hard time figuring out what to even take! I could use anyones personal advice on what kind of degree to get ( am lacking to get bachl. degree eventually) within the business or finance etc. range. Please tell me what the job consists of, what classes to take or to get an associates now or what to do. Please if you know include hours and emolument too. Thanks so much!
Three things to estimate. First, you're just starting out at a community college. Second, you want to go on for bachelors degree (hopefully, you might want to go for more someday). Third, you're undecided.
With that as your baseline, I over that the best thing that you can do is to take core classes which will be transferable towards a two-year general business AA degree. You can figure out what you want to specialize in when you go for your 4-year degree. If you simplify your situation to a counselor, they can help you to pick the classes which will meet the requirements for an AA in general business and will most likely transfer to a four-year program. My feeling is that these classes will include English, writing for business, maybe a foreign language, micro- and macro-economics, statistics, vague business, business information systems, global business, management accounting and/or financial accounting, and a few electives like humanities/mulct-art, philosophy, and psychology.
Find out from your counselor if your community college has an associate transfer program (ATP). These are designed to be 100% transferable towards 4-year degrees, whereas AAS or other AA degrees or certificates may not be designed for transferability.
Notwithstanding where the jobs are, i'm not an expert. I know that technology management, healthcare administration, e-commerce, accounting, and finance are all unspoilt fields and probably will remain so. I would get going on your core requirements for a two-year degree and you can learn more from your teachers and classmates about where the jobs are.
Beneficial luck.
