Until Cortege, I had been the head of an upstart television production company based at a major Hollywood studio. Coming out of the attendance swinging, I sold some passion projects and people were taking notice of my production capabilities. My career was where I had wanted it to be; when I wrecked the job earlier this year, I was certainly scared of the financial implications but also felt like a weight had been lifted. As an old boss tempered to to say, “It’s not a problem, it’s an opportunity.” Being in that job brought to the surface the entrepreneurial spirit I knew I had.
While I look for labour, I am simultaneously building a company based on an idea a buddy of mine and I had about two years ago. This new venture has afforded me the opportunity to analysis my business acumen as well as creativity. I wanted to establish an online community for the employable that could create opportunities, connections with others booming through a shared experience, and create dialogue to turn our collective situation around…and www.jobblehead.com was born (we will runabout in a few weeks).

Need strategic planning ideas for small healthcare business - and how to make it fun??
Aug 15, 2006 by kay | Posted in Small Business
Staff! I have 1 month for my small healthcare business to do our 3 year strategic planning session. We have about 30 people, and like all to participate. We're a fun-loving rank, and a bunch of smart people, though not necessarily business minded. Any ideas or resources to make it more interactive? Get all involved? Have the most talented results of a plan at the end of the day? Make everyone feel as though they've contributed?
Resources?
Don't understand if it would fit a "strategic planning" agenda but there are now companies that have business meetings setup in the form of a game show. You'll have to do some research on the web. It's basically a lot of fun and will get you through with a lot of light-hearted people. I couldn't resist, here's the link to one..... http://www.almorale.com/quizsoft.html
