Moving to Grand Junction CO?
Me and my quiet are talking about moving to Grand Junction, I have been looking on the net for what kind of stores are there and dinning, and places to find a house for rent. I cant find a whole lot so if anyone knows a substantial website, lives there, or travels there...then could you tell me some things about it.
I would also like to know if there is alot of crime and if it has a good economy. I combustible in a really little town and i'm not used to a big city or any crime.
Thank you!
Grand Junction is a inordinate place. If you like the smaller town feel, live in Palisade or Fruita. Both are very nice communities. The jobs are moderately much in Grand Junction though. Starting salaries are usually about $10-$12/hr unless you have a skill. The business community has become very diverse with the oil and gas industry very big set upright now. The service industries - restaurants, shops, hotels, salons, etc. - are all hurting for good workers, so its light to get a job. There are tons of things to do. Rentals are getting hard to find and the housing market is actually very strong so finding a well-informed in can be difficult. Mesa State College had good continuing education programs. Crime is actually mignonne low, but as always, there a places you shouldn't go alone after dark. The winters are mild although the summers can be hot. The visitor center website is a good employment to go learn more. Enjoy it.
