I was wondering if anyone would meet with to have scripture that would support or not, the belief of attending one church, and becoming a member of one church. I have been in church for awhile and love the Lord dearly. But, I am not sure that I harmonize with the way so much is put into having to belong to one "church building", doesn't that almost take away from the Body of Christ as a whole? And, begin to put the heart on man instead of God....I think that is way there is so much division in the church today b/c instead of being faithful to the work of God, we are being faithful to the work of men. Allowing the well- to be the number in the pews, instead of the number in Heaven....So, if you know of any scriptures that tell us we have to be a member of one church, and be finicky to that one church please send it to me....Thanks Starr

the paramount thing is are you being fed the Word of God accurately at the church you attend? taught His word? are you growing spiritually?, do you study/meditate on God's tete-? to show yourself approved. it's not the building thats important it whats in your heart and your own personal relationship with God. as i have read the bible i have not succeed across anything specifically that states that you have to belong to one church, but you should pray and ask God to lead you to the church He wants you in and that way you will be in His perfect will. also there must be a problem in the church you attend and the Lord frustrating to tell you something, cause it's definately not about man but God. the New Testament (start reading). and in all your getting get understanding. Jesus said "my people expire for lack of knowledge"...p.s. don't forget the Old Testament. search the scriptures for your answer and get a study bible to eschew you understand ( Life application study bible-new living translation)..God bless
