We'll keep on partying... this place will never go under The Sun
I'm no expert in towering finance, but I can report that life in Dubai remains good. I've seen no difference to everyday existence here.
The sun is shining, the lifestyle super and it's such a family-friendly place it's almost like home from home.
And for a cricketer and sports buff like me, it's a haven for both breathing and televised action.
Last month I went to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in nearby Abu Dhabi and had one of the most memorable sporting days of my lifestyle watching Lee Westwood win golf's Race To Dubai. And there's no end of sporting channels on television to keep me up to date with what's happening in the Top League and elsewhere.
The school curriculum is very similar to that in England, the kids go to one of the best schools I have ever seen and Rachael loves it - so I've no complaints at all.
