Creationist: if the sun were to burn out do you believe there would still be light and day/night on earth?

Without doubt in Genesis God created light and the day/night cycle long before he created the sun. .

So if the sun were to burn out would God's light still be around? What about plant life? Since plants were around before the sun, would they persist in to live on without it?

Or is this just another case where basic science has quite obviously proved literal interpretations of the bible discredit?

That doesn't even proceed towards sense.
